The City of Charlotte, as well as our great nation, is facing unprecedented challenges today from the mortgage meltdown, education, healthcare, banking and credit markets as well as unemployment. As Charlotte prepares and continues to address these areas, I believe it is more critical than ever that we have the right people serving on City Council.

People have asked me repeatedly as to why am I interested in serving on City Council, and my response is that Charlotte is home and I care about my home. I want to make sure that Charlotte is headed in the right direction going forward.

There is an alarm at the gate, and we the people need to make sure that the concerns of the community are presented, and considered by City Council, and I intended to do just that. If given the opportunity to serve on City Council, I will be “Your Voice In Government”. If City Council, prior to voting on the many issues that come before the council, would take the time and listen to the concerns of the “many” throughout the community, I believe better decisions would be made benefiting Charlotte as a whole.

Charlotte is OUR city, and the voice of the people need to be heard and reflected in the priorities of City Council from Public Safety to Economic Development, from Transportation to Neighborhood Development and the Council needs to find a way to engage CMS in an effort to raise the quality of education in the city of Charlotte.

Fellow citizens, Charlotte is a beautiful city with a lot of charm and now is the time to stand together and bring new ideas and perspectives to the table in order for the city to flourish in the future. Will you support my campaign and vote for me in September and November?
